ST. VINCENT DE PAUL

St. Vincent de Paul

The Society is molded after the life and principles of its founder Blessed Frederic Ozanam. Following his example, St. Henry/St. Vincent de Paul gives temporary assistance to those in need of help, regardless of race, religion, or circumstance. Our St. Vincent de Paul Society is the charitable arm of our Church. Members spend time visiting with our parishioners in area nursing homes.

Individuals experiencing temporary difficulties may call our Voice Mail at (618) 463-2411 for direct personal and confidential aid. Food vouchers are provided to those less fortunate during the holidays.

We are most grateful for the generous donations we receive from so many of our parishioners and from our Parish Organizations, which makes our work among the poor possible.

We are members of the Interfaith Community Food Pantry.  St Vincent de Paul meetings are held on the first Monday of the month at 9 am in the Parish Center. There are no dues.

If you would like to learn more about assisting those in need please call Therese Painter (618) 398-0017. We look forward to your participation.

Friends of the Poor Walk

In honor of the feast day of St. Vincent de Paul on September 27, the fourth Saturday of September is set aside for the Annual National Walk for the Poor. All money raised stays in this area to relieve the plight of the poor. Each year walkers fill pledge cards prior to walk day, (place to be determined) and donate the proceeds for their efforts on the track from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. For more information contact an officer of St. Vincent de Paul Society.
